Highly pure powder bentonite for crossflow filter systems
Blancobent UF was born out of a colaboration between Pall filtration and Erbsloh. It is a specilized sodium based bentonite to be used in conjunction with cross flow filtration. This process eliminates the settling time of typical bentonites. Blancobent UF is extremely small in particle size, > 100 um, and has zero abrasive sand in it making it ideal for use with cross flow filtration. An extra added benefit of cross flow filtering with Blacobent UF is the scrubbing action on the gel layer on the membrane. This can actually enhance cross flow filtration process.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGEJuice: 500-1500 ppm / 50-150 g/hL / 4.2-12.5 lb/1000 gal
Wine: 200-2000 ppm / 20-200 g/hL / >1.7-16.7 lb/1000 gal
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Suitable for direct dosing to hollow fiber cross flow membrane.
- Dissolve Blancobent UF in approximately 8-12 times its volume of water with constant stirring. It is not necessary to rehydrate in warm water, cellar temperature or cold water is just fine.
- Allow a rest period of 30-60 minutes, then stir again thoroughly.
- Allow the mixture to swell for 6-12 hours. If desired, remove excess water of pre-swollen suspension and resuspend with wine or juice to be treated. Homogenize this solution and add to wine or juice to be treated.
PACKAGING and STORAGEDated expiration. Store in a dry, well ventilated environment at a temperature between 5-25°C (41-77ºF). Once hydrated Blancobent UF should not be stored for more than 24 hours.
