The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations and supervise warehouse staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implements practices that improve the effectiveness and financial performance of the company.

Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by leading and managing employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Hire and train temporary staff required for peak times of year
  • Develop proper roles and processes that have adequate cross-training and properly allocate and define responsibility
  • Effectively manage the budget of the warehouse and facilities operations
  • Ensures compliance and safety with OSHA and other regulatory requirements  
  • Focus on continual improvement by making key processes more efficient and effective
  • Organizes and maintains proper layout of warehouses and product placement
  • Establishes and leads operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of inventory items, and keeps warehouse inventory counts accurate
  • Collaborates with departments to ensure successful coordination with all warehouse activities and quality control
  • Maintain essential communication with Production Managers to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Plan, schedule and conduct employee training to ensure proper skill and knowledge levels jointly conduct annual performance reviews with Director of Operations
  • Ensure work areas are clean and properly stocked for production
  • Review that costing is appropriately allocated to proper departments and/or finished goods
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and/or ERP systems preferred
  • Must have intermediate computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and organize complex information from several sources and compose material for presentation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of arithmetic including decimals, fractions, percentages and statistical formulas
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, motivation and team building skills
  • Ability to prioritize, attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Repetitive use of hands and arms
  • Capable of working in the elements in an open-air warehouse environment
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Physical demands are consistent with a warehouse environment where frequently this position will be exposed to cold, hot and changing temperatures; will constantly experience noise at medium level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment; will frequently be exposed to dust, dirt and changes in lighting
