Scott Laboratories is the leading supplier for the North American wine and specialty beverage industry. We are seeking an aspiring technical sales representative to help expand and grow our winemaking and specialty beverage products for the Oak Lab department.  

You will assist in expanding the sale of Oak lab products to the alcoholic beverage market with a primary focus on the wine industry. As the go-to resource for oak products, you will leverage your own industry knowledge and technical expertise and be our Scott Laboratories in-house oak product expert, to provide the best customer experience possible and expand our reach and account directory.

Requirements & Responsibilities:
  • Work in conjunction with the regional sales representatives to increase annual sales of oak products and oak education for Scott Laboratories clients
  • Product presentations to key decision makers
  • QC and prep Oak lab bench trial kits
  • Establish new clients for Oak lab products
  • After sale follow-up and service
  • Conduct trials to introduce oak products to both clients and internal staff; prepare tasting samples
  • Provide feedback to TOL Director regarding effectiveness of sales strategies and brand awareness
  • Provide updates to SIOP and TOL Director as needed to avoid out of stock events
  • Assist with Marketing and Fermentation team on oak related projects such as the Winemaking Handbook, trade show preparation, etc.
  • Assist TOL Director with staff, client and industry presentations and trainings as needed
  • Travel as needed for promotion, marketing, trials, training and support
  • Formal wine evaluations / tastings and technical round tables
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working directly with winemakers and wine industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of oak as it relates to the alcoholic beverage industry
  • Proven experience and abilities in educating and motivating
  • Outgoing, social personality at ease in networking and industry events
  • Valid driver’s license

Salary Range: $90K – 120K DOE
