As the Scott Labs Sales Representative for the North Bay region, you will be responsible for representing the Scott Labs brand and selling our world-class portfolio of value-add products to the wine market. As the go-to resource in your designated territory, you will leverage your own industry knowledge and technical expertise, along with our 85+ years of experience and in-house product experts, to provide the best customer experience possible and expand our reach within your assigned territory and account list.   

Responsibilties:

  • Drive growth of sales within assigned territory account base
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with decision makers and influencers within your region
  • Continuously grow product and market knowledge with a focus on how to benefit both the customer and the company
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication in order to support and grow existing customer base
  • Maintain accurate account and contact information
  • Effectively prioritize activities to meet or exceed company initiatives
  • Manage pipeline of opportunities and provide clear customer feedback to the company
  • Attend in-person and/or virtual tradeshows and events as necessary
  • Utilize and contribute to continuously improving sales and company best practices
  • Work well with internal stakeholders to help drive customer success and contribute to a positive work environment and company culture

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-5 years of wine industry experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Highly self-motivated 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with decision makers at wineries
  • Wine sales and/or technical product sales background
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM

As Scott Labs’ Technical Sales – AAB representative for North America, you will be responsible for representing and selling Scott Labs’ Beverage Integrity & Filtration department to the non-wine markets. This includes our world-class portfolio of filtration systems and equipment, filter media, and Velcorin® beverage stabilization agent. As the go-to resource for North American filtration customers, you will leverage your own industry knowledge and technical expertise, along with our 85+ years of experience and in-house product experts, to provide the best customer experience possible, expand our reach within your assigned region and accounts, and gain mindshare in the Adult Alternative Beverage (AAB) market.  

Essential Responsibilties:

  • Develop the non-wine beverage segment within the BI&F department. The Alternative Adult Beverage segment includes low and no alcohol drinks, beer, distilled spirts, hard seltzer, and functional beverages. 
  • Work with the department GM to develop and deploy strategies for the AAB market segments.
  • Support departments' efforts to expand business into new AAB customers .
  • Build, maintain, and use Salesforce opportunity management.
  • Support optimization of the product portfolio to suit market demand.
  • Prioritize corporate and high-volume accounts in AAB sectors for the beverage industry

Essential Duties:

  • Act as the primary contact for education and sales activity with customers on the use of Scott Labs’ products with an emphasis on Velcorin® and filter media. 
  • Directly contact, visit, and support clients in the US and Canada.  
  • Manage key customer accounts .
  • Provide hands-on training and presentations for use in commercial and educational activities.
  • Generate market data with marketing department to drive company strategy and tactics .
  • Attend relevant trade shows.  
  • Conduct commercial production trials to introduce and establish use of our products, namely Velcorin® and filtration media.  

Essential Characteristics:

  • Food industry knowledge is a must, preference given to those with food production experience and understanding of QA/QC programs  
  • Methodical, curious, and thoughtful  
  • Organized, innovative and unafraid to take initiative  
  • Commercial and technical capacity in production of beverage industry products, specifically AAB’s 
  • Ability to travel nationwide and occasional international travel 
  • Clear written and oral communication skills and understanding of financial indicators  
  • Results focused – cares about driving  business

  • Dramatically increase customer engagement, awareness, and adoption of target products in non-wine market segment .  
  • Consistent expansion of non-wine customers and markets  .
  • Rapid scaling of business in both financial and distinct customer accounts .

As Scott Labs’ Fermentation & Enology Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for representing and selling the Scott Labs portfolio of Fermentation and Enology products to the winemaking community. Our world-class portfolio, deep product and process knowledge, and customer-centric service has made us the most trusted supplier in the wine industry. As the go-to resource in your designated territory, you will leverage your own industry knowledge and technical expertise, along with our 85+ years of experience, to provide the best customer experience possible and expand our reach within your assigned territory and account list.

  • Act as Fermentation product application specialist as needed (company-wide)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Food Science, Biology, Enology, etc.)
  • Existing relationships with decision makers at wineries
  • Experience speaking to groups (training, conferences, etc.)
  • Experience with sales
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM
